Hoewel LAVS nooit bedoeld was als archief of ERP-systeem \u2014 de overheid heeft altijd benadrukt dat het uitsluitend een meld- en registratietool was \u2014 fungeerde het in de praktijk w\u00e9l als centrale bron voor inventarisaties, saneringsdossiers en vrijgaven.
